Glow-in-the-Dark Cheetos Now Exist. Orange You Glad We Told You So?

It's funny because it looks like they do anyway

What’s scarier than Cheetos fingers? Glow-in-the-dark Cheetos…packaging.

The fact that the neon orange snacks don’t already glow in the dark is the most surprising bit about Frito-Lay’s new Halloween-themed individually-wrapped packets, sold at Amazon, Walmart, and Target.

But that’s not all the limited-edition variety can do. According to a Frito-Lay press release:

After fans finish their Cheetos snacks, the treat-size glow-in-the-dark individual snack bag packaging can be used as extra “cheesy” Halloween decorations while the larger multipack bag doubles as a treat sack. Place the treat-size glow-in-the-dark Cheetos snacks bags under a bright light for a few seconds to maximize the glowing effect.

To be fair, glow-in-the-dark wrappers are easier to take off walls and doors than orange smudges. And given the health scares and school bans the Flamin’ Hot variety sparked around this time last year — glow-in-the-dark Cheetos will probably not be hitting shelves anytime soon.

More realistically, however…
