No need for Texas NASCAR fans to buy milkshakes and beer separately at concession stands anymore. The Texas Motor Speedway is rolling out a spiked milkshake called Shake’N Bacon Brew for NASCAR’s AAA Texas 500 races from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3.
The $10, 16-ounce drink, topped with whipped cream and bacon bits, will boast “six ounces of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream, two ounces of bacon syrup, two ounces of candied bacon, and half a bottle of Rahr & Sons Ugly Pug Black Lager,” the Houston Chronicle reports. A non-alcoholic version with root beer will also be available. You can see Levy Restaurants executive chef, Joel Pena, make the concoction here.
Shake’N Bacon Brew is the track’s latest bacon creation. Earlier this year, the Texas Motor Speedway started selling Hawg Heaven Bacon Cotton Candy, a light pink, fluffy treat covered in bacon bits. Cooked bacon was soaked in sugar for several hours, then the pieces were removed and the liquid was whipped into cotton candy, according to The Dallas Morning News.
While the drink sounds like fun for the fans, we don’t recommend NASCAR drivers drink the boozy-bacon combo before their races.
