As the adage goes, you have to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes to really get to know them. But to get to know Mayor Michael Bloomberg, you’d probably have to walk for a little bit longer.
About nine years, 11 months, and 45 minutes longer, if you’re averaging 15-minute miles.
That’s because Bloomberg—the loafer-adorned, eighth wealthiest American—has been wearing the same two pairs of work shoes for the past 10 years. His spokesman tells The Post that the mayor alternates pairs each day, and “when they get worn down, he has them resoled.” (via The Post)
