A woman in Spokane, Wash., was heading home for the day when out of nowhere, she felt something bump against her car. When she looked up, she saw that another vehicle had lightly collided with her own — but in the passenger seat, instead of a human, all she saw was a little dog peering over the steering wheel, KREM-TV reports.
“I was shocked, I didn’t know if I was crazy, or if this little dog had taken a joy ride,” the driver, Tabitha Ormaechea, told KREM-TV.
You may be thinking the former, but turns out the chihuahua was indeed going for a joyride. Here’s what happened: the dog’s owner, Jason Martinez, left the pup inside his parked car when he ran into a store. Left alone for just a few minutes, the pooch (who answers to Toby) somehow managed to knock the car out of gear, sending it rolling out of the parking lot and into Ormachea’s nearby vehicle.
Luckily, nobody was hurt in the crash, so it’s totally fine to laugh about this. But also, let this be a lesson: dogs are terrible drivers.
