Astronauts at the International Space Station were preparing to dock an unmanned service module when it flew past. NASA says it flew past at a safe distance and no astronauts were harmed.
The Progress 38 spacecraft, known as Progress M-06-M in Russia, contains nearly 2.5 tons of supplies, including clothing, equipment and fresh food. It also includes propellant fuel, oxygen and spare parts, but these materials are not immediately critical. The capsule failed to dock after a telemetry lock failed.
