R. Kelly, Soula Coaster: The Diary of Me

SmileyBooks
R. Kelly's memoir, "Soula Coaster"
Like basically everything R. Kelly does, the R&B singer’s upcoming memoir should be epic. So fans should be relieved to find out that title of the book promises an unforgettable roller—no, SOULA coaster of a ride through the life of one Robert Kelly. Soula Coaster: The Diary of Me is slated for a spring 2012 release by SmileyBooks, a Hay House imprint, although the book did mysteriously appear briefly on Amazon with a Nov. 15 release date. The cover of the “part memoir, part keepsake” features Kelly surrendering himself, messiah-style, to a bunch of microphones. But of course.
While we impatiently wait to devour what’s sure to be another gem from the singer, we thought it would be worth revisiting some other celebrity memoirs with similarly ridiculous (or amazing, depending on how you look at it) titles. Click through for the rest!

Judge Judy, Don't Pee on My Leg and Tell Me It's Raining

Harper Paperbacks
Judge Judy memoir
Judge Judy doesn’t mess around. Judith Sheindlin published her first book in 1996, before she was known as “Judge Judy” and a staple on TV. She gained national attention as the subject of a 60 Minutes segment and an LA Times feature profiling her tough reputation as a judge in criminal and family courts in New York. Publisher’s Weekly writes that Sheindlin thinks society’s been infantilized by shifting from “individual responsibility to government responsibility.” Basically, Don’t Pee.. is a “Don’t bulls— me” takeaway. We get the sentiment, but isn’t there another way of getting that across without making us want to jump in the shower?
