Donald Trump Extends His Ludicrous Deadline for Obama to Release Transcripts, Passport Info

Let it not be said that The Donald is ungenerous.

Donald Trump is a generous man. That is why, in light of the devastating catastrophes caused by Superstorm Sandy, he’s giving President Obama a bit more time to hand over his college and passport records in exchange for a donation of $5 million to Obama’s charity of choice.

On Tuesday, the reality TV star wrote on Twitter, “Because of the hurricane, I am extending my $5 million offer for President Obama’s favorite charity until 12PM on Thursday.”

(MORE: Top 10 Donald Trump Failures)

In case you missed the first part of this attention-getting ruse, Trump last Wednesday made his $5 million pledge in a “big announcement” he had hyped as a game-changer in the presidential election. The real estate mogul maintains that the President was not actually born in the U.S. and has made several attempts to prove it, despite the fact that claims of Obama’s foreign citizenship have been thoroughly debunked.

Despite being roundly mocked for the stunt, Trump has continued his quest to uncover all of Obama’s records, and he wasn’t going to let that slide just because the country had been ravaged by a major hurricane.

Later on Tuesday, however, he seemed to be coming around to the magnitude of the anxiety left in Sandy’s wake, assuring his Twitter followers that “We have adjusted the filming schedule of the upcoming 13th season of @CelebApprentice appropriately due to the storm.”

Mitt Romney, who accepted an endorsement from Trump in early February in Las Vegas, must be really glad to have this guy on his side.

Good for you Donald! NJ could use that money, but we all know Obama is too embarrassed to release his transcripts. I guess if I received special treatment all my life even though I had EARNED NONE, I wouldn't want it exposed either. So much for transparency!

Dear Donald,

                     Go live your life dude. Your white, your rich, you can bag any b*tch.  If the hair is the problem, your money will find a cure.  My only question is what happens when all the documents do get released?  What would you ask for then? I mean look I get it, your trying to be America's savior by trying to bring the conspiracy that is Obama to light. The only problem with that is- there is no conspiracy.  Com-on man, you don't want to be Lex Luther, swindling others to make yourself rich, you want to be Bruce Wayne, the playboy.  Now I'm not asking you to dress up and go Kickass on me, just don't embarrass yourself the way you do.  If your mid-twenties self could look you in the face right now, he'd fire you. And in conclusion, if you really want to write that check to those charities, then do already. You don't need O'daddy's...i mean Obama's  Permission, he's too busy running the country.

                     Sincerely,

                    A Concerned Citizen ;)

@@BloomBoyyyy  Release the docs and make Donald shut up, otherwise you give credence to his argument. If you have nothing to hide, then why hide it?

@BloomBoyyyy
@BloomBoyyyy

@twwtww The guy is already president he's been so for 3+ years.  Whether the documents get released or not, i can care less.  Whether they prove anything or not, although doubt it, again i can care less.  All I'm suggesting is that Donald needs to chill-ax with the finger pointing, and do something more enjoyable with his time.

Why is this offer "ludicrous"?  Let me answer that for the willfully blind, or those incapable (not just unwilling) of discerning obvious truth:  This is only ludicrous because if the "president" could do this, he would have done it four years ago.  When I say "could" I am not implying that there is any procedural problem preventing it.  He COULD do this if it didn't (wouldn't) prove that he went to school on a foreign-student scholarship, proving that he is not even a citizen of the country...but why should any rational person disparage over such a small matter?

I was always struck how D Trump looks like Owen Wilson and looks just as vacuous.He is trying to humiliate a President who is a decent leader of thecountry. Nothing is decent about Trump's incessant running after women;beauty pageants etc. Bear in mind that some decades ago he would not even have even been admitted to a country club membership.

Nice non - bias reporting there Sonia!  Ludicruse?  really?  for charity why not just say "Hey what the heck...here are the documents."  unless of course you can't produce them...What some have not realized  a certificate of live birth from Hawaii is not a birth certificate..and if you want to know who he is read his book...he told you in his book who he really is..but you and others in the news media [not that we can call it news anymore, more like an ongoing advertisement for Obama]  have been so busy worhsiping him, you have failed to really look into who he is or what drives him, where he got his money to go to a prestigious college, how he was a community organizer, barely a senetor and then BOOM...President with NO work experience and an islamic indonesia history.  THat is ludicruse.

@BloomBoyyyy
@BloomBoyyyy

Your opinion is perfectly fine, but I draw the line at "islamic indonesia history"(sic).  So i guess having and Islamic background is bad for a president who is overseeing wars and foreign policy that directly relate to or involve Muslim countries?  Having and idea of what their belief system is definitely a bad thing, right? Okay yeah, if you haven't caught on, I'm very much being sarcastic.  And here's one more thing to think about: There are these kids who live in America, they are born here, some of them have parents who are born here too, and they are all Muslims.  So these all American Muslims, I guess they can just give up the thought of themselves ever being President of the United states one day.  Not because they don't meet the experience level to qualify, but because of the simply fact that they are Muslim.  So with all due respect, lets not try to spin an "islamic indonesia history"(sic) as a band thing because in the back of your head you have wrongfully associated Islam with terrorism, while a Caucasian American who fires at a crowd in a movie theater can only be mentally insane. "THat is ludicruse"(sic)!

@BloomGirl I would take you seriously, but you can't spell "ludicrous", "senator",or "worshiping". If you can't spell, I doubt you could've read Obama'sautobiography. If you couldn't read THAT, I severely doubt that youcould form a well-articulated opinion regarding the topic. Would you care to try again?

@BloomGirl He could be an alien from Mars... It doesn't matter.  He's still the BEST thing this country has had in over eight years.  All of this ridiculous attention to where he was born is absurd.  If he were not a citizen and made it to the presidency, this country has a much greater problem than him being president.  There is a whole process to go through to become president, and news flash... It wasn't created by President Obama.  It's a pity we're so driven by the media in this country and fail to think on our own.

Trump has too much unproductive time on his hands... He needs a job or a hobby or to get outside and startvolunteering during Sandy's clean up. There's a good use for Trump's time and money -- offer to rebuild homes in NJ & NY. ThePresident's mom and grandparents were US citizens so wherever our President was born (I believe Hawaii!) he is an American citizen.(Wasn't John McCain (who has recently lost his mind insulting Colin Powell) born in Panama?) Maybe our President also has citizenship in Kenya due to his father's heritage and maybe that provided him some advantage in college funding... I don't know and I don't care!!!  Nothing was handed to President Obama.  He is the one who did the work. Pres. Obama is the one who had to fight to find funding for his education while people like Trump had it handed to them from their wealthy parents.  All Trump had to do was show up! Trump didn't need student loans!!  Pres. Obama had no safety net.  Maybe that is why Pres. Obama works so hard to make college an affordable possibility for the working/middle class student.  Donald Trump could be mediocre and fail time and time again; yet, with the safety net of wealthy parents, he was guaranteed eventual success.  Many smart poor students do not receive a chance to learn their way out of poverty let alone enjoy the multiple do-overs rich kids take for granted.   I find Donald Trump to be so ignorant and offensive...  So unaware of his blessings.  He did nothing to be born to wealthy parents.  He was simply lucky.   Had the playing field of Donald Trump's birth been the same as Barrack Obama's we wouldn't be  discussing Donald Trump.  He'd be as irrelevant as he should be.

This is simply not true. All those claims are still hotly contested. That's the whole point of Trump's offer.

@educatt Regardless of what he gives it'll never be enough. These idiots are the reason our country is a flaming joke in the eyes of the world. To not only outright declare the president as not being born here without proof, (because it can't be provided, and hasn't), and then to coerce him into handing over his college transcript, is probably the most cruel, anti-American examples of idiocy I've ever witnessed.

What he is implying is: "There's NO WAY this black guy could've gotten into Harvard, let alone earned anything in his life worth merit. Maybe I better throw money at this problem to see if there is foul play, and if I'm wrong...who cares!?I'm rich and no one will question me because the people who listen to me are gullible sheep who think "reality TV" is reality"!

The only people this claim is still contested between are Midwestern cretins who can't get over the fact that they lost the white house, and are now trying to prove that it was "unfair". Only that side throws that much of a flaming tantrum when they are booted out. Worse, is trying to downplay that, by them continuously backpedaling with the defense of "OH NO WE CARE ABOUT THE ISSUES! THIS ISN'T ABOUT AN ETHNIC BLIND SPOT"!

I would say no one in this country is that stupid, but it would be a blatant lie.

What is ludicrous is the fact that most of us are required to give this information to employers to get most jobs that will barely pay enough to put food on the table to feed our children and yet he can keep this information private and he's running our country. Yeah, I want to if person trying to fix our failing economy got a D in economics.

GaoxiangChen

@sinkingship Yes, a person who got a D in school somehow became the president of the Harvard Law Review since we all know it is such an easy post to get. Oh and I am sure that the President of the freaking United States can't afford to hire economic advisers so he has to use his own knowledge to run the country.

3divasconsulting

@sinkingship If he got a D, then the Republicans who chose to do nothing in hopes that this President would fail get an F+

Running this country is NOT a one person job.  If everyone contributed whether we voted for the President or not, things would be much better.  I am amazed that our President was able to get so much done in the wake of ignorance from so many people... especially the majority Republican congress.  And now, we have this idiot making a mockery of our country by dangling money in front of the President, but hey, maybe Donald Trump will give the money to you!!!

Donald why don't you stop making a fool of yourself.  Don't you have something better and more human to do?  Where are your tax records? Where are your overseas deals? Where did you go to school? Are you an US citizen? Where were you born....are you sure?  We want proof of your background. Where were your parents born? How much money did you make last year and how much did you write off? How many "deals" did you make and how much did you pocket without paying taxes on? WE the people have more to do than watch you make a total fool of yourself.  You really need to listen to your friends and STOP MAKING A FOOL OF YOURSELF.  It is not becoming and it is showing YOUR TRUE COLORS..

If Trump was doing this out of the goodness of his heart, or because he cares about his fellow citizens so much, he would just give the money, not place a price on the "truth".
