Let it not be said that The Donald is ungenerous.

Donald Trump is a generous man. That is why, in light of the devastating catastrophes caused by Superstorm Sandy, he’s giving President Obama a bit more time to hand over his college and passport records in exchange for a donation of $5 million to Obama’s charity of choice.

On Tuesday, the reality TV star wrote on Twitter, “Because of the hurricane, I am extending my $5 million offer for President Obama’s favorite charity until 12PM on Thursday.”

In case you missed the first part of this attention-getting ruse, Trump last Wednesday made his $5 million pledge in a “big announcement” he had hyped as a game-changer in the presidential election. The real estate mogul maintains that the President was not actually born in the U.S. and has made several attempts to prove it, despite the fact that claims of Obama’s foreign citizenship have been thoroughly debunked.

Despite being roundly mocked for the stunt, Trump has continued his quest to uncover all of Obama’s records, and he wasn’t going to let that slide just because the country had been ravaged by a major hurricane.

Later on Tuesday, however, he seemed to be coming around to the magnitude of the anxiety left in Sandy’s wake, assuring his Twitter followers that “We have adjusted the filming schedule of the upcoming 13th season of @CelebApprentice appropriately due to the storm.”

Mitt Romney, who accepted an endorsement from Trump in early February in Las Vegas, must be really glad to have this guy on his side.
