No matter what somebody does or is accused of doing they deserve a fair trial lest we all be at the mercy of the idiot public lynching squad.

We should have killed him, then tortured all of his disgusting family members.  Once we got enough info out of them, shoot them in the head.  This is what these scumbags deserve.

Funny how some people are asking for STRONG evidence...

1. Photo/video captured him placing the bomb. Although some people saw him making a phone call with someone after placing the bomb (and he might be controlled by someone), he did place the bomb.

@bon120 I understand your point of view. Nobody should feel threatened or fear to tell exactly what happened  and what has been discovered if it has not been told already. For the whole society, here and around the world, to assimilate this we should feel we are being told the truth. There is no reason to believe it is not happening that way. Here, and around the world, we are very sorry about what happened in Boston.

Based on eye witness reports of his brother's death (cops ran over him -not the brother - and cops riddled him with bullets) and my own concern that something does not add up, I am hoping that the Goliath perspective does not overshadow his right to a fair trial.  Both of them were involved in heinous acts with criminal intent and reckless disregard for human life.  For that he should receive punishment in his role as an accomplice.  However, I sincerely doubt he was the master mind of these acts.  A19 year old can still be impressionable under an older brother's guidance, no matter what rights and entitlements he might have as a result of his age.  I fear that he will bear the wrath of his brother's crimes.  I am also skeptical of the police reports as it is far too convenient for them to report the facts as they'd like them to be told rather than how they might have occurred given their anger and reaction over a fellow officer's death. I can only hope that everything is on the up and up.  But at this point I have my doubts.  I will await more proof and evidence to be shared before drawing any conclusions on my own.  Meanwhile, I hope and pray for healing for all of the victims and their families, including DT.

@cj218You are correct, I two heard that police ran the brother over with their suv. The fact is their have not been ANY facts presented that tie these two to the bombing. I doubt they will ever let this go to trial unless that actually do have evidence. I highly doubt it tho as it does not appear to have been them.

kilgoretrout

@Freedom_Sean @cj218 Oh, you "heard" the police ran him over?  Where's YOUR evidence that happened?  I've heard no FACTS presented indicating the police ran him over.  What facts are you looking for?  This all happened just a few days ago, and neither law enforcement nor the federal prosecutor is under the obligation to prove anything to you personally.  Obama has stated that he will be tried under our criminal justice system, at which time all of the evidence you're clamoring for will be presented.  Though you sound like such a loon that you'll reject any evidence they do present as faked.  You aren't related to these two by any chance, are you?

@cj218 His right to a fair trail?? Seriously?? He killed 3 people and maimed and injured hundreds or did that slip your mind??

@cj218I don't think you fully understand what an 'accomplice' is.

An 'accomplice' aids a crime but doesn't take actual part in the perpetration of the crime.

If Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is truly caught on camera setting down a backpack with explosives, and if he's proven to have been armed and attacking police officers during the manhunt gunfight (and one cop died and another one was critically wounded, so clearly there was two-way aggression), then that obviously qualifies him as much more than just an 'accomplice' dude, 'mastermind' or not.

I don't care if he was 'impressionable', and neither should you.  Any normal 19 year old MAN should be more than old enough to make his own decisions... and bear the consequences of those decisions.

@leehwgoc @cj218 The facts are that we have not been presented with any evidence of him putting the bag down. I am willing to bet it is a lie and that we never see such evidence. Mark my words.

@wyt168 Very probably you are right. In a few more days or weeks this is going to be entirely clear. It is going to be probably a little bit more complicated than it seems at first sight. Very good it is over. Very sad some good people got killed and others badly wounded.

wyt168
wyt168

There is video footage of him (and his brother) carrying the backpack. There is also the widely circulated picture of him heading off the scene with the backpack on the ground, only a few feet away from the kid that was killed. What evidence do you need? I am sure the FBI has tons of those pictures/videos, besides the few that leaked out.

I would like to see strong, hard evidence, that they did harm and kill  people in this athletic event.

I would like to see hard evidence that they build the explosive devises.

What was found in the place where they were living? Did police or military personnel find material that are used in the construction of this kind of devices? Is it exceedingly clear that they built the improvised exploding devises?

In such an extreme situation the police and military did the best they could. I think we can only thank them  of a job well done.

Of course we can not feel happy for a young man killed and a young boy wounded. Even when they seemed to have turned against society.

I have no idea why they say they killed a brave young guard at MIT? Very probably there is clear, and unmistakeable, and undeniable evidence that they killed the young guard. What I say is that I have not seen that evidence. That evidence has not been disclosed.

I would like to see the evidence that exists that they killed the young guard.

Where are the mother and father of these boys? It seems there is a complicated story.

First step is to be entirely sure they committed this terrible act.

Next step is to study from a sociological and psychological point of view why they did what it seems they have done.

Of course the police and military deserve the applause they got at the end of the shootings in the neighborhood where he young man was eliminated and the young boy was cough.

But we should be aware that probably it was not a very clean operation. I do not know. It should be carefully studied.

My point of view is that they did their best and ought to be congratulated. It was a desperate situation. But anyway the operation should be analyzed.

Is it true that in the same day a similar bombing happened somewhere in Iraq that killed more than a hundred people? I personally do not think so. If it happened it is interesting that not much mention was made of it.

The family of the suspects seems to be a good family. Why is it that these boys did not grow up to become honest, productive citizen?

I am very sorry that this happened.

We should learn lessons.

@eagle_blue Considering the brothers were armed and defended themselves with more improvised explosives during the manhunt confrontation (and even before that point had stolen a car and murdered an MIT security guard), it seems pretty unlikely they aren't what they are suspected it to be.

Can't tell if he has a trach or not.   The first picture looks like he's getting one, the rest look like the o2 support is in the mouth.

Guessing if he placed the gun under his chin for the "missed" suicide shot, that would explain the reason he "can't talk".   If he placed it in his mouth, there would be some brain damage  (brain stem at least).    Sorry to be blunt, but he didn't have good aim at all.

Overall, I'm just wondering why if he was able to climb out of the boat, following directions and moving, why he couldn't be questioned with him writing or typing responses.   I realize after they tubed him they put him in sedation/coma, just unsure that that's still necessary and if he could be questioned.

Then again, the sad irony would be if he was able to successfully file "malpractice" suit - guessing they're taking cautions against this too.

This kid - a confusing horrid mess.   Used to be such a good person, but just a little brainwashing goes very far it seems.   So sad.

@HypatiaLeigh1 He tried blowing off his head but the bullet took out his throat. It's why he was tubed. At least that's what I heard on the news.

@HypatiaLeigh1 You have no idea if he was ever a 'good person'.

There are many, many, many well documented examples of sociopaths and psychopaths seeming perfectly normal to other people.

I personally think it was the elder brother who talked the younger brother into doing this. I'm not saying by any means that he's innocent. He does deserve a form of punishment no matter how you look at it. I just think that the death penalty shouldn't even be an option. What gets me thinking this way is the way friends and classmates talk about the young brother. They're saying that he was a good student, quiet kid who had friends. Worst I've heard about him aside from the bombings is the fact that he smoked pot once upon a time. To me that doesn't sound like a guy who would do something like this. He never even said anything about not liking being here in the US whereas the brother stated his dislike for the US and for people from here in the US. Also the older brother took a trip to Russia last year and noone knows what he was doing over there? Then we have to look at the facts. If the younger one was supposedly "armed and extremely dangerous" then why weren't more people injured or killed after the brother was killed? If this was true he would've had no problem in injuring more people just to get away from the police or even killing to get inside of other peoples houses. And the fact that he was apprehended in a boat after the owner of the home saw it was him hiding in the boat.....um.....HELLO? RED FLAG RIGHT THERE he could've shot that man if he was so "armed and dangerous" so I don't think so. If you really think about it, it seems like the older brother had more of a reason to do these things than the younger one did. But this is just from what I've heard in the local news in RI. I agree, show us the footage of the negotiation, show us exactly what happened so that the people can be the judge of what exactly happened themselves. Then the US wonders where people come up with all these different conspiracy theories.

@blancamerced0228 The fact is we have no evidence that they did it. The fact is that the evidence we do have points sway from these guys. I guess we will have to wait and see if they make it to trial.

@blancamerced0228 The death penalty shouldn't be an option?? What about the people he killed?? And please..he's 19..I doubt very much his brother "talked" or forced him into anything..He wanted to do it..simple..Did you not read his twitter accounts? They're both Muslim and against the U.S. and I can't believe there's people such as you making stupid comments like these..defending this worthless POS..IF it had been someone in your family, then you'd be thinking differently I bet.

blancamerced0228
blancamerced0228

@akri @blancamerced0228 Like I said.....I'm not saying he deserves to just walk right off. But if you give him the death penalty he dies and that's it. If he's incarcerated for years then he suffers longer. That's what I meant. I did see his twitter account but ya know something? I didn't see anything other than an average teen's posting tweets about songs and such. It's unfair that you assume that no one I knew was injured in these attacks. I want to see him spend a long time in jail rather than get off easy by death. His brother could've very well held some sort of influence on him.....regardless of whether he was 19 or not. It just doesn't seem like something this kid would up and decide to do some random day.

Where is the video of 20 minutes of conversation trying to persuade him to come out of the boat? Where is the video of him during this boat event? I don't want an x-ray or infrared or 1 single helicopter photo shot, show me the real deal. You went there prepared, you negotiated, you got him out, you put him in the ambulance, where is the footage? They wouldn't release it since if we saw or heard what actually went on, we could understand what actually took place.

X-Ray photos do not constitute a photo per se...and why are we so hot to try him as enemy combatant? Do we want to send him to Cuba? Torture him? Massachusetts does not have death penalty. Feds do. Try him in court legally and stop the nonsense of calling him anything but a killer who deserves punishment.

The word Extremist can be applied to every faith and can not be pointed to a one particular group. Being type casted as "new Nazis" is wrong. It has no justification. What these 2 people did was totally wrong and justice has to take it's course. He should be given the same civil rights as the person who murdered those little innocent chidren. He was an extremist in my view.

He's just a kid. Are they SURE he did it? Did his older brother talk him into it, if he did? The older brother was a bit radical, and this boy could have easily been influenced by him. Blowing things up to harm people is a thing a deranged adult would do. He's just a kid.

I agree. I can't wait to see how this unfolds. Something seems off about the whole thing. I don't understand why he gave up in a boat. I mean if they were that set on bombing and killing people. Why just one stunt and stop. If I was him and blew up that many people and then my brother died I wouldn't hide in a boat I'd be taking out more people. Seems off to me. If he did do it I do believe he's old enough to fully understand right from wrong. But what reasons does he have to do this. Why is his uncle bashing him on national tv but the aunt is convinced they were set up. I hope the full details of his trail is published and I hope that justice is served if he's found guilty. I love my country and to see how the world is going these days breaks my heart. I'm only 24 and the world has changed so much in my life time I fear for what my nephew will see by the time he's my age.

I bought my first house when I was 19. He's old enough to vote, join the military and die fighting for our country. He's old enough to know what he was doing. Heck, we have 12 year old kids in our country who get tried as "adults" for certain crimes they commit. He's not just a kid!!!

nwankwofred

@User32526

I think what the boy and his cohort did was mindless. He is not a kid. For him to go as far as using a deadly explosive depict a high level madness. He should be tried and executed. Of course I know there is foreign conspiracy. USA is a friend of Nigeria even though sometimes the country misbehaves. But doing anything that will take innocent peoples live in whatever manner is evil. There are many responsible and civil ways of settling issues not by hate and terror. Life is sweet no matter what grievances, no human being should take another life. Life was given by God so only God can take it. What happened in Boston is pathetic. God bless USA and Nigeria.
