No gesture is too small for Bruce Springsteen, even if it’s writing a letter to the editor of his small hometown paper. For sure, this kid was made in the U.S. of A.
Why did he exactly do it? He wanted to commend the Asbury Park Press’ front page story on poverty and budget cuts, saying he was glad that his “hometown newspaper [was] covering these issues.” He goes on to praise the piece and singles out the people who have made a difference.
Proof that no matter how big you are, it’s still cool to be involved in your local community. Wonder if the letter was handwritten? What a throwback that would have been. Even now, the guy still oozes coolness.
