Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, walk hand in hand from Buckingham Palace.

California is usually home to the royalty that is movie stars. But the real deal is about to descend upon them and the West Coast may never be the same again.

The schedule has been released for the highly anticipated debut trip by a certain pair of newlyweds (apparently, their wedding was shown on TV). And when Prince William and Catherine Middleton arrive on American soil, they’ll barely have time to rest.

The twosome get in on July 8, and first up is a meeting with technology entrepreneurs at the Beverly Hilton hotel, followed by spending some time with prominent California politicians and various high-profile figures in Los Angeles.

Saturday July 9 is all about glamour: it kicks off with a Santa Barbara based charity polo match — he plays, she’ll hand out prizes — and then a British invasion of sorts at a red carpet, black-tie British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) dinner at L.A.’s Belasco Theatre with the cream of the British arts world. William is well accustomed to these bright lights as he happens to be BAFTA president and will give a speech.

Day three is more serious, with charity work coming to the fore. It begins at Tusk USA, which is an organization that raises money for African wildlife. And then it’s over to Inner-City Arts, a local program focusing on using art to help disadvantaged and homeless children.

Their final event is for military veterans and families at Sony Pictures Studios where they’ll put together care packages, which NewsFeed hopes is a nice way of saying they’re regifting unwanted wedding gifts. (via ABC)
