Plot: Saturday marked Stone’s second hosting stint on SNL, and she came out swinging to promote the July 2012 release of The Amazing Spider-Man. Her opening monologue was punctuated by a Spidey-like Andy Samberg hanging from the ceiling, sporting a failed silly string web and all of the gusto of a wannabe. Stone puts him in his place while humoring him in a mock audition for the part of Spider-man — which he quickly learns has already been filled by Andrew Garfield (The Social Network).
Best Line: “He’s British? America’s suffering record unemployment and we outsource Spider-man to England?”
