Charles Barkley took the Saturday Night Live reigns for his third time, but the show missed the hoop despite the ratings boom (though that was likely the late football hangover). Sir Charles poked fun at his fellow NBA stars and some old favorite sketches returned. Here are the five best.
Plot: Paul Brittain’s goofy yet quaint Lord Wyndemere might be the only person that could possibly disrupt a bunch of football-and-beer-loving guys. As soon as the 48-year-old knickers-wearing Brit pops through the door, Jason Sudeikis perks up to Wyndemere’s level of enthusiasm, chasing him around and generally enjoying the lord’s jubilance. Even Charles Barkley was entranced by the little guy — but who wouldn’t be, when he’s a less annoying version of the Skittles “Berries & Cream” elf. Though we can’t help but feel slighted that Wyndemere never got his sweets.
Best Line: “I know what that boy needs: a tickling! Turlington, my tickling music.”
