Plot: Now that Beyoncé and Jay-Z have offered up their baby Blue Ivy Carter to the world, it’s visiting hours at the musical duo’s New York home. Maya Rudolph donned her best Beyoncé wig and saw in a number of celebrity friends along with a largely silent Jay Pharaoh as Jay-Z. First to ring the bell was the naturally eccentric Fred Armisen as Prince, followed by Nicki Minaj with a rather horrifying rap for the babe. And it wouldn’t be an unveiling if serial parents Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie weren’t there. But sure enough, their “baby sense” guided them.
And the evening was capped off by the Grammys’ Best New Artist Bon Iver – played by always-beloved SNL drop-in Justin Timberlake – who played a lullaby for Blue Ivy. The quick strum of JT’s guitar was enough to throw the actual Bon Iver, Justin Vernon, into a fit of glee on Twitter: “Maya Rudolph saying “bon iver” is enough. I can die now!!!”
Best Line: Beyoncé: “But Bon Iver, we were just about to put our baby to sleep!” Bon Iver: “Trust me, this will help.”
