Plot: While Sofia Vergara was confined to playing mostly Hispanic characters, she makes an excellent loudmouthed New Yorker, too. Taking on the role of Fran Drescher from The Nanny, “the first quirky girl to have her own TV show,” Vergara enters with a blowout bouffant and a bellowing voice. She even gets out Drescher’s grating laugh. And as always, Taran Killam expertly plays the role of housewife Michael Cera, dropping hints about his unrequited love for Zooey.
Best Line: “I love a good challenge – I was born mute.”
