An ATV rider on British Columbia’s Graham Island spotted a large cargo container bobbing in the ocean earlier this year. Inside, among camping gear and golf clubs, was a Harley Davidson with Japanese license plates. The items likely floated in their Styrofoam-lined container from Miyahgi, Japan after being swept out to sea by the tsunami. The owner of the bike, 29-year-old Ikuo Yokoyama, survived the disaster, but lost his home and three family members. His bike has been returned to Japan, and Harley-Davidson has offered to clean up the bike and restore it to rideable condition.
