A tin-type photograph shows an unidentified man. The image was found in a tent somewhere in North Carolina during the Civil War, alongside a bible inscribed with the name of John Brice. It was common, though, for soldiers to carry photographs of relatives and loved ones during battle for sentimental reasons, so it’s thought that the photograph displays a relative of Brice.
