Joseph Gordon-Levitt, this week’s SNL host (and lead of the upcoming sci-fi film Looper), starred in one of the episode’s most memorable sketches, playing the son of the (fictional) Dos Equis spokesman, also known as The Most Interesting Man in the World. The son’s problem — aside from the fact that he makes women cringe just by entering a room, and tries but can’t breakdance — is a serious inferiority complex and a case of fatherly neglect. So, to redeem himself, he decides to launch his own beer, Tres Equis. But when his father, played by the ever-brilliant Jason Sudeikis, catches wind of it in the second installment of the spoof, he interrupts the Tres Equis commercial and all hell breaks loose. Well-acted and well-executed, this sketch stood out among the rest.
