Shortly after The Smiths released their final album Strangeways, Here We Come in 1987, lead singer Morrissey came out with his first solo album Viva Hate (1988), which included this takedown of the Thatcher administration. The English musician reiterated his dislike for the Iron Lady in an Apr. 8 op-ed for The Daily Beast: “Thatcher was a terror without an atom of humanity.”
