Now it’s official: TV star Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West are having a baby girl.
The actress made the big announcement during the season premiere of Keeping up with the Kardashians Sunday night, E! Online reports. On the show, the doctor revealed the gender to Kardashian during an ultrasound appointment. Flanked by her mom, Kris Jenner, and her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian Odom, Kim asked the doctor if he could see “a little peepee.” He said, “I don’t see any peepee,” according to video posted on E! Online:
“I’m so excited we’re having a girl,” the pregnant star, who is due in July, said. “Who doesn’t want a girl? They’re the best and I know that’s really what Kanye has always wanted. He wanted a little girl.”
Kardashian’s baby shower took place over bagels and lox in Beverly Hills yesterday and was attended by Kelly Osbourne, fitness guru Tracy Anderson and (Lionel Richie’s daughter) Nicole Richie. Kardashian seemed overwhelmed by the attention on Twitter:

Rumors about the gender of the baby – nicknamed “Kimye” – have been swirling since February, when a source close to the family spilled the beans to US Weekly. On Jimmy Kimmel Live back in January, Kardashian said Kanye will probably spoil the newborn with custom-made clothes. “I don’t think hand-me-downs are going to work.” The couple has been together since April 2012, and they broke the news that Kim was pregnant in December.
