The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series will make its U.S debut next week in Boston, but today the organizers of the event provided New Yorkers with a show of their own.

In an effort to publicize the competition, high dive world champion Orlando Duque jumped from 75 feet from a helicopter into the Hudson river. Duque only had three seconds to attempt a flying back tuck before reaching the surface of the river.

The World Series had already traveled to 4 other locations around the world before stopping in New York City for just one day.
