A Texas-bound tractor-trailer reportedly carrying 40,000 pounds of ham overturned and spilled the cargo onto an interstate ramp south of Atlanta shortly before 4:00 a.m. this morning, The Associated Press reports via the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The AP and local news outlets are calling them “holiday hams” or “Christmas hams” and say hazmat crews have been on scene working to clear the scene and a subsequent diesel fuel spill caused by the crash. The driver reportedly cut his head but was not seriously injured.
