I am glad to see that there are still magazines which can decide with a common sense!
(We will never forget Mustafa Kemal Atatürk)
Congrats Time! Now how about a spread on the slow encroachment on our Constitution by the chief executive who has granted himself the authority to form a "kill list"from which he alone gets to choose who among the American citizenry will next be murdered without charge, trial or conviction? As well, I'm sure the public would vote "most popular" an article delineating the obvious superiority of White Papers and Office Memos over the Constitution.
Perhaps an interview with Attorney General Holder on what part of the LAW grants him the authority to decide whether to prosecute known criminal bankers based on whether or not that prosecution would have a deleterious effect on the economy. I'm sure such exposure would send most of the LAW schools into a frenzy of instantaneous 'codification' of this new principle in LAW.
I assume an equal amount of public interest would result from an interview with AG Holder's Deputy AG, Lanny Breuer, on why he was 'allowed to resign' immediately after he publicly announced this new principle in LAW.
C'mon, do I have to do all your work for you?
@MuratDalİlk baskıyı ogren de gel. 3 Mart; Dolayısıyla oradan da başlatabilirler di... 2. Adamlar başlatırlardı, Roosevelt'ten kimse de birşey diyemezdi...
@MarkRobins Oh, please, that's insulting to the President, but also insulting to all the victims of Hitler and his quest to rule the world. Shame on you a thousand times!
CONGRATULATION ON YOUR 90TH ANNIVERSARY
BUT YOU WAS NOT 100% RIGHT WHEN YOU WROTE IN ITS ISSUE OF MARCH 24th, 1923 PREDICTING ABOUT MUSTAFA KAMAL " FROM THE ASHES OF OTTOMAN EMPIRE- MILITARY OFFICER MUSTAFA KAMAL PASHA- LATTER KNOWN AS ATATURK - EMERGES AS THE FATHER OF THE MODERN TURKISH REPUBLIC. HIS SECULAR REFORMS AND AUTHORITARIAN STREAK LEFT A LEGACY THAT WOULD RESONATE FOR DECADE ACROSS THE MIDDLE EAST.
PRESENT TURKEY IS NOW TOTALLY CHANGED WHAT MUSTAFA KAMAL ATATURK LEFT. MORE VIBRANT AND MORE ENERGETIC. ARMY NOW IS UNDER CIVILIAN CONTROL..
I really want to congratulate TIME Magazine designating, evaluating and choosing this greatest general and leader in human history, BRAVO !!
Many generals, leaders did great things in history. Most always had a healthy nation, money and arms behind them. Except Ataturk. He saved a defeated, poor, uneducated nation from annihiliation and created a modern Turkish republic back in 1923. His only weapon was his genius and trust in his nation. Otherwise who else could still shed light of liberty and progress from one's grave 75 years after his passing?
Mustafa was the name of character in the Walt Disney Movie, "The Lion King". IS there any connection
REVEVOLUTION OF M.K.ATATURK LIVES ON, GROWING DAY BY DAY; 1881- TO FOREVER. IF ATATURK STILL RELEVANT TODAY IN TURKEY BECAUSE OF HIS SINCERE SELF DEVOTION TO HIS NATION AND HIS PEOPLE. WE SALUTE YOU WITH DEEPEST RESPECT. WE COMPREHEND YOUR IDEALS MORE THAN EVER. TODAY, THOSE TREATORS, PUPPETS OF FOREIGN POWERS IN CHARGE HOLDS THE POLITICAL POWER IN TURKEY AS YOU PREDICTED, ALSO AS YOU PREDICTED THEY WON'T HESITATE TO BETRAYED THEIR OWN COUNTRY FOR SELF GAIN. NO MATTER WHAT; WE WILL SORT THEM OUT. NE MUTLU TURKUM DIYENE.
FDR a 3 term president. Michael Collins walks on the moon. As someone else pointed out, Frazier knocking out Ali. Who fact checked these summaries?
Joe Frazier did NOT knock out Muhammad Ali!! He won a 15 round decision. Muhammad Ali was never knocked out in his career. Can we trust your knowledge of history at all??
I am 80 now. When TIME would be celebratialiveng Century, then I would be 90 if I remained alive by that time. My CONGRATULATION in advance for that HAPPY 100th ANNIVERSARY.
TIME is 90, exactly 20 years older than me. Happy 90th anniversary and thank you for printing my scores of letters in the Inbox since 2003 after my retirement.
This is an informative weekly, one of few respectable magazines to stay in printed form. Please continue with the good work. (tanboontee)
Hitler was just a misunderstood artist. Rejection is the most brutal of human conditions and young Adolf underwent the metamorphosis into the monster of our historical lore by his rejection from art school. See him his happiest and read all about it at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2010/02/happy-little-hitler.html
The invention of the semiconductor and transistor is one of the most significant developments in all of history...but maybe it was covered in the computer issue?
