Greg's Groupon proposal for Dana.
If you’re about to propose marriage, it’s probably wise to know what sites your future spouse uses to shop. A Cincinnati man knew all too well his girlfriend’s affinity for the discount offer site Groupon, making it the ideal way to propose. So Greg Hill decided to set up a fake discount on the site to ask for his girlfriend Dana Burck’s hand in marriage. But the funny thing about Groupon is that all residents of a particular region have to be privy to the deal. Anyone in the Cincinnati area could have “purchased” Hill as a husband, but fortunately, he was with Burck after the deal posted, helping guide her to the perfect discount — and future happiness. “I couldn’t get a better deal anywhere, never, never ever,” she told the New York Times.
