When you measure the tallest living horse, you do it without shoes, just like you’d expect. But Big Jake still doesn’t disappoint. The 9-year-old Belgian gelding measured over 20 hands—6 feet, 10 inches—at his home in Wisconsin. It certainly isn’t any simple feat to just climb onto a horse of this stature, if he even lets you.
