The search engine kicked off the 2012 Olympics’ first full day of competition with a doodle featuring a female archer taking aim at a bulls-eye that replaced Google’s second “o.” The July 28 illustration continued the corporation’s tradition — established in 2000 — of displaying a new sport-specific doodle on each day of the international sporting event. Two other archery images appeared on Google during the 2000 Olympics in Sydney and the 2004 Athens games.
