Unfortunately for women everywhere, Reebok’s EasyTone sneakers won’t exactly help you get a behind like Kelly Brook, who models in the company’s British ad campaign. In December 2010, the ASA concluded that the print ads and commercial were considered misleading, because of specific claims that women wearing the shoes could get up to “28% more of a workout for your bum. And up to 11% more for your hamstrings and calves.” The ads were also deemed misleading by the Federal Trade Commission in the U.S., where Reebok agreed to a settlement of $25 million, which was available to customers who wanted a refund.
