Consistently regarded as one of the NHL’s best goalies, the New York Rangers’ Henrik Lundqvist is known, above all, for his raw skill. But he’s also known for a few other things: his model-caliber looks, for one, and the fact that he’s got an identical twin brother, Joel, who’s also made quite a name for himself in the hockey world. Joel, who is 40 minutes younger than his brother, spent three years as a center for the Dallas Stars before returning to his native Sweden to continue playing there. Henrik remains in the U.S., poised for his eighth season with the Rangers (a season that might not actually exist, of course.)
For the record, the 30-year-old Lundqvists aren’t the only identical Swedish twins to play in the NHL. Daniel and Henrik Sedin, 32, both currently play for the Vancouver Canucks. And they’re extra identical, right down to their facial hair.
