The identical twin rockers have also had nearly identical careers. The Maddens formed Good Charlotte along with two other friends in 1996 in suburban Maryland, with Joel on lead vocals and Benji as lead guitarist and backup vocalist. Best known for their hit singles “Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous” and “Little Things,” the band released their most recent album “Cardiology” in October 201o. Though Good Charlotte is currently on hiatus, the Maddens haven’t paused their joint efforts–the brothers released a free mix tape in October 2011 called “Before The Fame: The Madden Brothers.” Joel and Benji also seem to share a love for high-profile girlfriends–Joel dated Hilary Duff before marrying current wife Nicole Richie, while Benji has dated Australian model Sophie Monk, Paris Hilton, and Holly Madison.
