The Lee University Festival Choir is something of a supergroup: The university, based in Cleveland, Tenn., is combining its multiple student choirs for its inauguration performance. Sen. Lamar Alexander, also from Tennessee, issued the invite. Why Alexander? He’s a member of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, a title which might make him one of the top party-planners in government. The 200-member choir isn’t sure which of their prepared songs they’ll have time to perform given the event’s hectic schedule, but let’s hope they can squeeze in the “Chattanooga Choo-Choo,” because that sounds like a sure-fire party in the U.S.A.
