A Madeira Beach company called Alligator Attractions made a business out of bringing live alligators to children’s birthday pool parties, NewsFeed reported via Tampa’s Bay News 9. The gators — generally juveniles with adorable names like Burger, Fido and Kermit — would have their jaws taped shut before going in the pool. However, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, dubbed the gator parties — which cost $175 per event — “an unsafe exhibition of wildlife.”
